Estate agency and related services form a core segment of the residential property services delivered across the UK. Our estate agency services are primarily focused on residential sales and lettings of properties in the UK, but this is complimented by asset management and financial services.

The estate agents operate under the Your Move, Reeds Rains, Marsh & Parsons, Intercounty, Frosts, JNP, Goodfellows and Davis Tate brands. These brands deliver estate agency services in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, with some estate agents focusing on particular local areas.

The asset management services include repossessions asset management as well as property management for multi-property landlords. The financial services delivered are predominantly mortgage and protection brokerage, although intermediary networks are also operated by members of the LSL Property Services Group of companies.

Surveying

The surveying and valuation services are delivered by the e.surv Chartered Surveyors and Barnwoods brands. Surveys are produced for private house purchasers and the brands provide property valuation services for lenders for residential mortgage purposes.

The monthly releases of the e.surv mortgage monitor provide a view of mortgage lending and the number of transactions within the UK housing market.

Barnwoods Chartered Surveyors provide a full range of valuation services including mortgage valuations and survey work for C&G and the LloydsTSB Group.

House Price Indices

LSL Property Services plc release a number of house price indices which provide a comprehensive view of house prices across the UK. On a monthly basis an England & Wales House Price Index is released which is compiled using sold house price data collected by the Land Registry. Individual house price indices are also produced for Scotland and Wales.

The Buy-to-Let index is a monthly analysis of approximately 18,000 rental properties and tenancies from around the UK, figures for the whole country are inferred by scaling up from LSL's market share. The Buy-to-Let Index includes data on rents, arrears, yields and voids and provides an invaluable insight into the state of the rental market in the UK.
