The property industry is an exciting one and working in property seems to be growing in popularity. With the growth  in the number of television programmes about house buying and property renovation many see working in the property industry as a way of combining this interest with work.

Representatives within our LSL brands are often asked if there is a need to be experienced in the property market to work in it and the answer is ‘no’. If you are prepared to commit to your role, develop and, in some instances, sit professional qualifications, then property is a great industry for developing an exciting career.

However, whether you want to be an Estate Agent, a Chartered Surveyor, a Financial Consultant or a Branch Manager, people skills are essential. Moving house and securing a mortgage probably rank among some of the most stressful life events and we need to assist our customers through some traumatic times. Ensuring our people have good communication and organisational skills is therefore key.
